Group Size

The total size of each course is only limited by the venue and number of coaches I have available. The participants  will be grouped to ensure that your child gets the best possible attention. We pride ourselves on getting the best out of each child and we make this possible by keeping the ratio of coach to cricketer small. The ratio is never more than 1:10 but is often much smaller than that, especially when coaching our younger members.

Boys and Girls of all abilities and experience welcome

Beginner

Age range 5 – 9

  • Ideal for complete beginners or children who are relatively new to the game.
  • Age range is ideally 5 to 9 years old.
  • They do mainly specific skill based games.
  • Will play a game or two towards the end of the course.
  • Soft balls used.

Intermediate

Age range 7 – 10

  • Ideal for children aged 7 to 8 who are pretty advanced and children aged 9 to 10 who need a bit of help with their overall game. Would recommend this for boys who are playing club cricket or are in the school A/B/C team and below.
  • 30% of the course is skill specific games and 70% is match practice.
  • Soft balls and hard balls used.

Advanced

Age range 11 – 15

  • We would recommend this for boys who are playing County, District or A & B team cricket at school.
  • Entire course is match practice based.
  • Boys will learn how to prepare for matches, they will brush up on their skills on the first day.
  • Fielding practices, tactical and situational play, learning how to captain a team.
  • One coach per team managing and coaching the side.
  • Coaches will umpire the games.
  • Three or Five match series will be played over the four day course.
  • Suggest you bring all pads and protective gear with you.
  • Please make sure that children have correct underwear to hold cricket box in place.
  • We also run courses for older boys between the ages of 13 & 14. These courses will be similar to the advanced type courses which are entirely match practice based.
  • However again the course for the older boys is dependent on the numbers of bookings.
